At its core executive presence is the ability to portray confidence dignity and great poise as a leader. Those with a strong executive presence can control their emotions and sense emotions in others helping them manage their response.

Its how you communicate verbally and through your appearance and physicality. In todays competitive business environment executive presence can make or break your ability to influence others during periods of uncertainty and change. Executive presence is a blend of temperament competencies and skills that sends all the right signals.

They remain calm and graceful under pressure and are not easily rattled. When you understand others deeply you can understand how they see you as well. Someone with executive presence has sound decision-making abilities and works well under pressure.

In the purest sense executive presence is the ability to be in the center of the room without hogging all the attention. Its not just appearance such as how you look but more how you communicate with people initially and convey your intentions. Executive presence is very much how you control a room the impressions you make and how you affect the people around you.

In its simplest terms executive presence is about your ability to inspire confidence inspiring confidence in your subordinates that youre the leader they want to follow inspiring. It is that one differentiating characteristic that organizations look at when they need to choose a select few for special opportunities and promotions among a competitive field of many other smart energetic executives. Executive Presence is a vital leadership characteristic.

First its about your ability to get results especially when the expectations around results are continually changing. You carry with you a blend of composure talent and maturity that helps you make smart decisions inspire others and power through difficult times. Leaders know they must embody executive presence to.
